I LOVE LIGHTHOUE, and will put them in my road trips as much as possible without getting my co-pilots upset. Today we planned trip to Daytona Beach just to see the Ponce de Leon lighthouse, and finlly (I hve been her before) CLIMB it.
it was a disappointment since the weather was wet and mostly windy… winds above 40mph are a (good?) reason to close the outdoor viewing. We could climb up to the closed door, but not get out…. and that was not how I envisioned it. So we did visit and got a rain-check to come climb another day. I got nice pictures, and definitely some cool Farnell lamp once too.
The visit and walk to the beach was also shortcut because, you know, THE WIND
And we did get some pictures of the Drive-thru church, the concept is so strange to me I actually want to attend one day.
Overal Karlien and I had a fun day, mostly driving because we took the long way home and being cold outside…. tomorrow we will take a movie marathon covered in blankets!
